CRU-DataPort™ Acquires StorCase’s Data Express® & RhinoJR®
Jon Johnson comments on the acquisition of the StorCase product lines

"StorCase was our primary competitor in the removable storage market place." Jon Johnson, Marketing Director at CRU-DataPort, spoke about the exciting new brands entering the CRU-DataPort family. StorCase was really strong in the Hollywood entertainment industry, thus strengthening our digital video/audio storage based markets. “Not only do these two lines add to our product base but this allows our customers to have the convenience of a one stop shop for drive solutions. We are really excited about that!”

"CRU brought on board several of StorCase’s sales and engineering staff to continue supporting loyal Data Express and RhinoJR customers, while growing the base of two very strong and reliable brands. The idea behind the logos is that they are rugged, I wouldn’t mess with a rhino! In one of our government case studies we learned that their jock pilots sometimes throw the drives back and forth, at times ending up on the concrete floor. Although we don’t recommend that sort of misuse, these products are built to last.”

In recent news, a breach at CIBC resulted in the loss of a backup file that contained sensitive data on half a million of their investors. These types of breaches are easily preventable with CRU products. CRU-DataPort DES & TDES Encryption solutions are powered by X-Wall, patented hardware-based encryption for Data-at-Rest from Enova® Technology, the leader in secure ASIC design engineering. This provides iron-clad security through hardware-based NIST & CSE certified cryptographic engines. "The data on our removable drives is locked-down by a unique easy to use Security Key based on Random Number Generation (RNG) software."

CRU-DataPort™, Data Express® and RhinoJR® removable drive enclosures provide a reliable, affordable and easy way to add storage, hot-swap backup drives and secure sensitive data.  They feature drive cooling, support the latest interfaces and are backed by the industry’s leading warranties…no wonder they’ve been the de facto standard for data security for over twenty years!
