Self-destructs, Military grade..IronKey?
Arthur Coleman Chief Marketing Officer, discusses the strengths of the all powerful USB key
"The self-destruct mechanism is quite a “Mission Impossible” kind of feature. We think that the people creating and delivering the IronKey are industry rock stars. The IronKey is under constant testing, thus far the IronKey was dropped in a fish tank, dropped from a 3-story building, frozen to -180 degrees F, put in an oven to 225 degrees and kept on ticking."
"IronKeys' are built by leaders in the security arena – with expertise in encryption, anti-phishing, intrusion detection, spyware, and on-the-wire threats. Their vision was to build the worlds most secure flash drive – and that is exactly what they have accomplished."
The data on the device is encrypted, locked and inaccessible. If a thief or attacker tries to guess your password, the device will lock out all access after 10 incorrect attempts. The device also has a Flash Shredder technology in hardware, that automatically erases all the encrypted data for a double layer of protection.
If you are using the Password Manager on the IronKey, you can backup and restore all of your online passwords to the IronKey.com service. All password data is locally encrypted using AES 256-bit encryption and strong encryption keys, so that only you can restore and decrypt your password data. “IronKey’s products combine sophisticated hardware with software and services – this is a unique business model in the industry.”
"We’re the only ones who have tightly integrated the hardware, software and services into one affordable device that’s easy enough for everyday use." Within each of these areas, IronKey has given an intense focus to ensure that each piece of the platform and the integrated product is secure from known threats.
IronKey devices use an on-board CryptoChip to manage data encryption and password authentication, creating a highly secure place to store files and securely access the Internet. Simply plug an IronKey device into a PC USB port, enter your password, and unlock the device. No software or drivers are installed on your computer.
"We are pleased to be working with Simple Technology Inc. in offering this highly demanded product to the Canadian market. We are looking forward to becoming Canada’s leading provider of secure USB flash drives and services."
